Setup & first run
The MF10 ships fully assembled. Unbox it, set the base on a flat surface, plug the braided cable into a standard outlet, and press the capacitive power dot at the top of the spine for one second. You'll hear a soft chime and see the LED disc breathe once — that's it.
The first 30 seconds
- Tap the dot once to cycle speeds (1 → 10).
- Tap and hold to enter TempSync mode — the fan adjusts itself to the room.
- Double-tap to toggle oscillation.
- Triple-tap to enter pairing mode for the app.
Choosing a spot
The MF10 throws air in a 4-metre cone, so it doesn't need to be right next to you. Give it 30 cm of clearance from walls on the intake side (the lower third of the spine), and avoid placing it directly on rugs with very deep pile, which can muffle the intake.
App & voice control
Pair the FanBee app
- Download FanBee from the App Store or Google Play. Sign in or create a free account.
- Tap "+ Add fan" and triple-tap the power dot on the MF10 until the LED pulses amber.
- Choose your home Wi-Fi network — 2.4 GHz only for pairing. After it's online, the fan happily uses your 5 GHz mesh.
- Name the room and you're done.
Voice assistants
- Alexa: enable the FanBee skill, then "Alexa, set the bedroom fan to 4."
- Google Home: add device → works with Google → FanBee.
- Apple Home: scan the HomeKit code printed on the base.
- Siri Shortcuts & Matter: supported from firmware v3.1 onward (rolling out now).
Cleaning & care
The MF10 has no exposed blades and no filter. Wipe the spine and base with a dry or lightly damp microfiber cloth every month or so. For deeper cleaning, a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleared across the intake slots takes 20 seconds and restores any small airflow loss.
- Don't use solvents, glass cleaner, or anything abrasive — the anodised finish will haze.
- Don't submerge any part of the fan or use it in bathrooms while showers are running.
- If the LED disc starts flickering, that's the dust sensor asking for a wipe. Clean it with a dry cotton swab.
Troubleshooting
Fan won't power on
- Check the cable seats fully into both the outlet and the base — there's a satisfying click.
- Try a different outlet on a different circuit to rule out the breaker.
- If still nothing, email us — replacement cables ship free, same day.
App won't pair
- Most routers default to a combined 2.4 + 5 GHz SSID. Temporarily disable 5 GHz, pair, then re-enable.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the phone — pairing uses BLE for the handshake.
- If pairing keeps failing, factory-reset the fan: hold the power dot for 10 seconds until the LED flashes white.
New rattle, hum, or whine
- Run the self-balance routine: in the app, Device → Service → Re-balance impeller (takes 30 s).
- Check the fan is on a level surface. A 2° tilt can cause a faint hum on speed 8+.
- If the noise persists after balancing, it's a warranty matter — email us with a 10-second clip.
TempSync isn't responding to temperature
The internal temperature sensor calibrates over the first 24 hours of TempSync use. If after that the fan isn't adjusting as expected, check that it isn't placed in direct sun or above a radiator — both can fool the sensor. You can also re-calibrate manually in the app.
Remote stopped working
Pop the back cover with a coin and swap the CR2032 cell — they last about 18 months. If a fresh cell doesn't fix it, we ship a replacement remote free under warranty.

How loud is it?
24 dB(A) at speed 1 (below a whisper), 42 dB(A) at speed 5 (quiet office), 54 dB(A) at speed 10 (lively café). Most owners run it at 3–4 overnight, which is around 32 dB(A).
How much power does it use?
4 W on speed 1, 28 W on speed 10. A full night on TempSync averages 9 W — roughly a single LED bulb.
Is it safe around children and pets?
Yes. There are no exposed moving parts, the intake mesh is too fine for small fingers, and the exterior never exceeds 38 °C even after 12 hours at full speed.
Can I use it outdoors?
On a covered porch in dry weather, yes. The MF10 is indoor-rated (IPX0) and shouldn't be exposed to direct sun or moisture — both will void the warranty.
Does it cool the air?
The MF10 moves air, it doesn't refrigerate it. The cooling sensation comes from accelerated evaporation on your skin, which feels around 3–5 °C cooler than ambient at speeds 4 and above.
